To the south of Mexico City, a mural made by 4 artists from the Mexican School of Art Down dresses the Starbucks Pedregal store in colors. This work of art, inspired by the path that coffee takes, from the seed and the hands that grow it to the plant that is transformed into a perfect cup of coffee, is a reflection of the close collaboration between Starbucks Mexico and the John Langdon Foundation Down.
Francisco Pulido is one of the artists who collaborated in the development of this mural. “I loved the experience because it helped me get out my feelings, which I now share through this image.”

Starbucks and the Down Mexican Art School have a history of joint collaboration since 2013, when the work of the institution's artists was exhibited for the first time in various Starbucks stores in Mexico City. Today there are more than 600 engravings and lithographs that are displayed in more than 100 Starbucks stores.
In gratitude for these great works, Starbucks and Fundación Alsea, AC have made a donation to the John Langdon Down Foundation of more than 870 thousand pesos between 2013 and 2018, which has been used to continue promoting human rights and the dignity of people. with Down syndrome in Mexico, significantly improving their quality of life.
The Down Mexican School of Art, which is part of the world-renowned John Langdon Down Foundation, is considered unique and without parallel in the world. He has been part of the Cultural Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad. It has a collection of more than 300 plastic works, including paintings, lithographs, engravings, pyrography and etchings, which have been exhibited in 74 museums and galleries in 42 cities in America, Asia and Europe.
